Thankfully we lost early! And maybe we needed this
This loss stings bad. It's even ruined my enjoyment of college football analysis for the entire week. I don't want to read about Georgia, hear about Georgia, or think about Georgia. National media folks have declared Clowney's Heisman chances officially dead, they're dissecting our "overrated" defense, and they're piling OFF our bandwagon. Thankfully we lost early!
This can all be overcome quickly with a convincing win against Vandy. We're ranked #13, so the climb back to the top 10, or even top 5, can and should be a short one. If we win out, we're in a BCS bowl, especially considering that winning out means a win against a sure to be top 5 Clemson team.
Spurrier has NEVER had an undefeated team in his days as Div. I head coach, EVER. Alabama has won the MNC with losses. LSU won the MNC with two losses not too long ago. Georgia has also proven that a single loss shouldn't define a season. So let's take a deep breath, take the pain, and move forward. There are still a lot of teams we can whip this season.
And maybe, just maybe, this slap in the face has energized our players and coaches to increase the effort.
