Coach Paul Dietzel is in very bad health. He was hospitalized last week
with complications from ongoing health issues, but now has a blood disorder
that has him in very bad shape. He was released from the hospital this
afternoon and is (according to the family) resting at home. Not a lot of
details right now other than that.
Dietzel was the coach here from 1966 to 1974 and has our only conference
Title (ACC) to his credit. He was the Head coach at LSU (prior to
signing on as the South Carolina Gamecock head coach), where he won
a national title, and he returned to LSU as the AD there for several years
after leaving USC.
Please join me in prayer for Coach Dietzel and his family through this
difficult time for them.
