$20 tailgating lots?
I used to set up a tailgate spot at the Shriner's Lot (across Assembly St from the Fairgrounds), but it appears they are upping their price. They did charge $20 per spot, first come first serve, but at the UNC game, their sign read $30. Shriners Lot had the best tailgating bang for your buck that I knew of at that $20 price. I am already familiar with the most popular lots (Farmers Market, Fairgrounds, Armory), but I'm not looking to deal with those lots as they are more expensive and the first come first serve spots fill quickly. I want something within a decent walking distance for $20 first come first serve that still has a decent tailgating atmosphere (similar to the Shriners Lot, if you're familiar with it). I also set up a dish and TV, so I can't be in a really confined area that will block the satellite signal. I am admittedly mostly ignorant to the tailgating lots on Bluff Rd and behind the stadium (Shop, Key, etc). If anyone has any input on some of these lesser known tailgating lots, or has any recommendations for me, I'd love to hear them. Thanks guys.
Disclaimer: I realize $30 is not a ton of money, and I will spend it if need be, but I like to save where I can, so comments such as "just spend the $$" or "park at the Farmers Market" are pointless.
