I was sitting here at work, bored (it is an off week for USC), and was thinking through recruiting (as I have done for several years now). I was actually thinking numbers. In most years, we can take approximately 25 guys (understanding that this is somewhat limited, especially right now). In a "perfect world," what are the numbers you would make as your goal? Obviously, this is going to vary slightly per class due to attrition, commitments (those who actually commit), talent in a given class, etc. Also, I have never been a college coach or recruiter, so this is just my layman's, administrative viewpoint. Please feel free to comment and/or make suggestions.
All half numbers would represent three players over two years. An example might be you take 2 QBs one year and 1 QB another would be equal to an average of 1.5 QBs per year.
K 1 (punt, FGK, KO)
DB 5 (includes LBs)
Total = 25 committed recruits
