Re: Devin Washington
My nephew was in an extremely bad car wreck back in February. One of the diagnoses that came down was a concussion. The doctor made it a point to tell my brother and his wife not to sell a concussion short on its severity just because it is a common injury. He went on to remind them what a concussion really is: the brain being rocked around inside the skull and being damaged in places. Obviously some concussions can be more severe than others (a brick hit my nephew in the head at more than 100 miles per hour), but we should all be careful when talking about players who have suffered concussions and perhaps thinking these players should have recovered sooner.
