He mentions lack of focus again and again. Then, near the end of the video, he's asked if we have the talent we need at the safety position. He pauses briefly then replies that we "have what we have" and it's his job to get them ready. While his answer is quite accurate, the way he phrased it, IMO, tells me he's dissatisfied with our talent at that position.
I noticed it. He seems like a good guy, too. I'm disappointed that we have such a drop off in talent at so many positions on defense. This seems to go back to the year EJ left and Ward took over. Someone dropped the ball somewhere along the way and we are paying for it on defense. Did we lose a lot of defensive commits the year EJ left?
Either way, I hope the young guys grow up soon and we finish this season as strong as expected.
