Re: Vic Hamptons draft stock
he has the potential, honestly i thought he played near an all sec level last year. this year hes just had a bad stretch of i guess 5 quarters starting with the getting burned on the double move vs ucf near the goaline. at this moment he'd be insane to leave early. who knows maybe he has a monster 2nd half of the season. really though its guesswork at this point of the season.
jonathan joseph had an awesome 2nd half to his 2005 season, ran a great 40 and suddenly he was a 1st round pick.
im not even sure it would be wise for kelcey at this point. he has very good numbers right now, but he needs to keep it up for the rest of the season and be a force beyond the numbers. right now one site has kelcey as the 6th best dt in his draft class, so if he came out early theres no guarantee he'd go earlier than the middle rounds either. let it play out though. we'll know if theyre ready or not by the bowl game.
