I like your pick of Stadnick for pleasant surprise, Spurt. I think several of us were fearful when Waldrop first got hurt, but I would venture to guess most, if not all of us, are now quite comfortable with Stadnick playing such a critical position.
As for MVP, I'm torn between Shaw and Davis. Shaw has been lights out this season and clearly a big reason we've been so successful. But then I think about how well the OL has played and the numbers Davis is putting up. That makes me think about the UCF game. None of us can say with absolute certainty we wouldn't have won that game if we hadn't started running Davis, but it seems unlikely.
That makes me think there's a chance we could have the same record (or better) even without Shaw if we were simply to dedicate ourselves to being a power-running team first with the occasional play-action pass worked in. Again, I don't know this would be the case, so I honestly don't know who I feel has been more valuable to this point.
