I stand corrected, the game is benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, which is (as far as I can tell) associated with the Jimmy V Fund.
I found this from when they hosted a Texas A&M fundraiser:
Thanks so much for your email! We appreciate your taking the time to check with us regarding our affiliations. We are, in no way, associated with the Susan G. Komen organization, nor do we support Planned Parenthood. Our organization was founded in partnership with The V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association in order to be a part of the fight against women’s cancers through scientific research. I hope that you will not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions or if we can help to clarify any of the details regarding the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
But I don't know why they're also using pink, because people who don't know any better will either (a) associate them with the Komen Foundation like I did, and not support them, or (b) support them and Komen Foundation because they don't know the difference.
Don't get me wrong. Cancer is awful. I just don't want to donate money to anything that lies about where the money is spent. Sorry for hijacking
