One of the equipment managers was quoted as saying the new, young, coach requested multiple helmets because it helped in recruiting. With the cost of helmets being around $50000 for a team (and upwards of $100000 for the chrome ones) is this a good recruiting tool? I'm an old fart and don't think it makes a hill of beans, so does it really make that big of a difference?
