MD28 is an amazing RB. Why on earth we don't sell PA to him I will never understand. Shaw should be coached to jam that ball in his belly and pull it out. The safeties will bite all over it. This would leave receivers open, especially the TEs.
And finally, I can't believe we don't lean on MD28 more and grind teams.
We def need to get into a rhythm on offense. Looking towards the sideline just takes momentum away from the offense. It's like they make it a game of chess (which bit us today) vs a game of checkers (where teams like Oregon, Baylor and Spurrier's old FL teams used to dictate what is going to happen). I've always hated it. Call a good play (with audibles, good blocking and a 2nd and 3rd option) the first time instead of seeing what the D is going to do.
I only disagree with grinding it out with Davis. we dearly and clearly need to develop that stable of RBs. Davis is excellent but if he needs a breather or gets injured, what do we have?
