But with Mizzou specifically, on the road, at night, I think we are going to need somebody who can come out and throw the ball down the field, and that guy is Thompson. Those crazy SEC night games can get out of control in a hurry (see LSU-Ole Miss), and I feel like we need a gunslinger in there. Dylan shut down Clemson in an inhospitable environment, and I trust him to lead us on the road in what may be the biggest game in Missouri history for quite some time.
Additionally, it seems like Spurrier calls more I-formation plays with Thompson in there. It is going to be crazy on Saturday, but I feel like this plays more into Thompson's game than Shaw's.
There is no one more suited to get that 3rd and 4 yardage than Shaw. Dylan is a back up QB for a reason. DT is beast off the bench but I don't want him slinging for four quarters with the game on the line.
