Re: USC/Mizzou Statistical Comparison
I'm not intimidated by Mizz. Their offensive stats are somewhat inflated by their first 4 opponents. Scoring 36 on Fla while piling up 500 yards is the impressive one to me. Georgia's defense has been mediocre all year, and their offense has been so-so post key injuries. Mizz got some long TD's fairly late against Fla, but Florida's offense seemed to be their biggest ally (151 yards and 3 TO). If we protect the ball and the LB's and spur show up, we should hold our own and win. If they exploit our second level, we will suffer all game long. Our offense has the potential to control the game if inopportune mistakes are avoided. If our OL can pound them on the run, our passing game can get good opportunities both downfield and intermediate (tight ends, please!!!) This game is a real chance to get some groove back.
