Re: Garcia Interview
You can't help but have mixed feelings anytime his name comes up. And interestingly his interview was full of mixed feelings as well. He said a few things in the beginning that almost made it seem like he had some regret in going to South Carolina. "Maybe I should have taken a visit to Oklahoma..." "I was hard headed and wanted to show I can break the mold and be the first successful QB in the NFL under Spurrier."
I don't think there was anything that bad or anything that was any worse than anything I've ever done when younger. It's just that he couldn't seem to get out of his own way and stop doing them, even with knowing the spot light was on him.
When I think of him, I think of his masterful performance in a win over #1 ranked Alabama, and a great performance in The Swamp against Florida to clinch USC's first SEC Eastern Division championship and a spot in the SEC Championship Game. But I also think about the missed opportunities in 2011, and what could have been that season, when he didn't go into that season prepared and was struggling big time and his last game when he could hardly move the ball in the costly loss to Auburn.
Like I said, you can't help but have mixed feelings when his name comes up.
