On College Football live yesterday, he said something that I thought was interesting. He said that our offensive line plays with bad technique. He really didn't go into detail however. It was just kind of a comment as they were previewing our game. They then showed an offensive play with Missouri and he said something along the lines of "This is good technique."
It caught my attention because Mark May was a damn good offensive lineman (pro bowler) so I am sure he knows what technique is supposed to look like.
I know very little about what technique is supposed to look like for an offensive lineman.
Any thoughts on this from someone who played or coached O-line??
I really hadn't heard that before about our o-line so he could be wrong.
He was talking specifically about the play that they showed in the highlight. In the Tennessee game someone went right by one of the OL. He said "First of all there was some bad technique there." The other guy(not Lou) said that "they are too big. They can't move". Mark May looked at him like he was crazy and said "They're too big?" Then they moved on with analyzing the Mizz OL and team.
