Re: 3D Printer builds 2500 SF house in 20 hours
The implications of this are a fricking joke for people who think differently and uniquely and don't like the generic mass of same-thinking cookie-cutter bullshit that has taken over this country, and the cookie-cutter minds and thinking that comes with it.
Now it will become easy and routine and cheap to copy-paste the same architecture everywhere, making this country look like (and behave like) one giant brainless organism, nobody thinking for themselves, looking differently - we are all a huge flock of sheep living in the same style houses, eating the exact same food, doing the exact same things, with the same identical brains - no one able to make decisions unless someone tells them what to do. Drive through the suburbs of any city in the country and you have no idea where you really are - and if you talk to the people - they are all the same too. It's like we are living the same boring, useless lives of unexciting, boring sameness.
One of the reasons why urban planners are so needed right now is that the malls and stores and houses in Idaho, New Jersey, Florida, Russia, Ukraine, Tokyo, or anywhere else are all designed by the same douchebag in California on his laptop who just goes "copy>paste" all over the world. Ever wonder how all of a sudden, those "town square" styled retail centers are now popping up all over the place, and they all look the same, with the same shit?
Seriously horrible way of living. A cheaper, easier society doesn't mean better.
I wonder if the Amish are taking applications?
