Think about it, if A&M finishes the season with only 2 losses, do any of you really think the BCS committee will pick us over Manziel-mania? No way. Also, if Auburn finishes 10-2, I think them and their massive fan base will trump us as well. Also, people are already forgetting about Mizzou! If by some stoke of luck we go to the SECCG and get creamed, we would certainly get passed up for Mizzou.
We have one other thing working against us. Contrary to what I hear and read Gamecock fans say, we don't travel as well to bowl games as the aforementioned teams do, and that's a big factor to the bowl selection committee. There was a big thing on ESPN about a year ago that showed which SEC teams travel the most to away games. We were square in the middle, below the big boy SEC teams. To me, all signs point to A&M winning out and going to the Sugar.
So let's stop all this nonsense about hoping we don't go to Atlanta so we have a better shot at a BCS bowl. The only way we are going to a BCS bowl is through Atlanta.
Your scenarios above aren't much different than what anyone else has been discussing here IMO...
I don't think ANYONE has said that USC stands a great chance of making a BCS bowl going to Atlanta and losing to Alabama, and I haven't read ANYONE who thinks if USC goes to the SECCG that they would be the favorites to beat Alabama....they were all talking about the BCS bowl scenarios for those left out of the SECCG...
