One thing I've always noticed (and goes along with the argument of the SEC being the best conference), is that almost all of the SEC teams play a higher "conference-seeded" opponent. Especially since the SEC #2 is usually the #3, the #3 is usually the #4, etc.
Though I agree SEC is best conference, Some things to think about
The Big Ten usually has 2 teams as well in BCS so the teams are matched evenly mostly in those games.
Also, SEC bowls are in SEC country, Big Ten doesn't get that luxury (lot easier for fan travel, especially important in non BCS bowls.
Lastly, the numbers don't refer to conference rankings, they refer to bowl picking order. For instance, if the Capital One Bowl this year wanted Missouri vs Michigan, they could have done so.
