Scouts say none of the QBs on the North squad have been impressive. Boyd has separated himself from others though, by being exceptionally bad.
Move to smack if necessary.
Mon: Ugly. Just all over the place with his throws and makes receivers work too hard to catch the ball.
Tues: Much improved as many of his throws were on or close to the mark. Still had a few wayward passes and made receivers work too hard. Last day pick IMO.
Wed: Had a few nice throws but for the most part not good. Threw deep outs to uncovered receivers yet constantly had pass catchers leaving their feet, adjusting backwards or diving to catch his errant passes. Sidewinder which makes the situation even worse.
We have seen plenty of players help their draft stock over the past few years, but the week is not going as planned for Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd.
Boyd has been erratic with his accuracy and has drawn plenty of criticism for his poor performance during practices, but things got worse when a comment from a Green Bay Packers scout came to light.
According to NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline, the Packers scout said ”based on what I’m seeing Tajh Boyd is not draftable.”
Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd thrived during his four years in the Atlantic Coast Conference, breaking the conference record with 102 career touchdown passes.
Boyd passed for 3,851 yards, 34 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season and was named all-conference for the third time.
But Boyd still has a lot to prove at the Senior Bowl. He struggled with his accuracy and timing Monday and Tuesday, forcing his receivers to adjust their patterns to secure his errant throws.
