Re: Baseball History
My favorite memories of The Sarge were being an RA at the Roost. I could mix a drink in my room, walk onto the walkway, and watch the games. There was one year when we didn't have a lot residents over there, and I used my master key to watch the game from one of the top-floor vacant rooms.
When I was first assigned to that dorm, I really did not care much about baseball. Ray Tanner introduced himself to me when i was handing out room assignments to the team members, and I kinda blew him off. By the end of my first semester over there, the team turned me into a full-fledged Gamecock Baseball fan. Thanks go to Landon Powell, David Marchbanks, Kevin Melilo, Garris Gonce, and all of the others on my floor for getting me hooked.
I'm not a D1 basketball coach, I don't have Einstein's IQ, my dad's not a lawyer, and I don't have any inside information from reliable sources deep inside the Williams Brice custodial staff, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night while I was saving a ton of money on my car insurance.
