Perhaps because, with this new deal he just signed, he will be the biggest SEC homer on the planet? Nothing in the past matters. After all, his comments about the deal would indicate he's already toeing the party line. He knows he'll suffer the wrath of the SEC's fans if he steps over the line on our network.
Perhaps because he'll be a major draw for the SEC Network? The B1Gers and ACCers will tune-in out of jealousy if nothing else.
BM brings instant credibility to the SEC Network. No other network could have pulled that off, or they would have. After all, the B1G Network has been around longer than the SEC Network, so the SEC getting BM is considered quite the coup.
