Cocoa High graduate Ronald Patrick is officially a pro football player.
The right guard signed a free-agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys over the weekend.
Patrick was a two-year starter on the offensive line at South Carolina and helped Cocoa High win a state title.
Patrick excelled at South Carolina, leading a solid offensive line that consistently opened holes for the running game. The 6-foot-2, 315-pound guard made 25 career starts and was very durable, making 19 career starts in a row before an ankle injury.
Now he will join the Cowboys in hopes of helping them get back to the Super Bowl. And he won't have to wait long as minicamp begins Friday.
