This will be my first trip and I am very excited to see this beautiful part of the country. Any suggestions of things to do in Seattle and/or Vancouver? We are staying in downtown Seattle so we will be right in the thick of things. I know one of the things I want to do is go see one of the famous fish markets in either Seattle or Vancouver, but other than that we are just going to explore.
Thanks in advance.
I love this area and have visited several times. Definitely go to the market in Seattle. Besides the fish tossing there is just about everything you could ever want in a market. From insanely fresh flowers to the freshest breads you have ever tasted. Besides the market there are dozens of restaurants and bars with-in walking distance of each other...and if you like coffee you have entered caffeinated paradise. Seattle is an awesome city and very easy to get around. You will love it. And if your doing the tourist thing go to the top of the space needle...its really pretty damn cool.
When in Vancouver I highly recommend talking a float plane sightseeing tour. They take off in the harbor at what is one of the coolest city parks you will ever see. Unbelievably beautiful part of the world.
And because Victoria is basically between these two cities...you will probably pass it while going through the strait of Jaun de Funca...cannot explain how beautiful this all is...I highly recommend a trip here. It is absolutely stunningly beautiful. This may sound a bit gay but if you have the time and this is something you may have any interest in what so ever...maybe the wife does and you can protect your man card by blaming her for it...check out the gardens there. Mind blowing!
If you are looking for more underground things to do let me know.
