The Boss 302 from Ford had the same option. Silver key was basic 444hp output. Red key was for Track Mode. Altered a ton of engine parameters and basically turned it into a street legal race car.

I love the Hellcat's version of it though. If you let somebody borrow the car, they still get basically the SRT-8 (plus 15hp), which is more than enough for somebody. Plus if they don't know about the two keys, they THINK they're getting the full experience, but YOU keep the key that unleashes the monster for yourself.
