The Mizzou game was just a steady run of missed opportunities and inconsistency.
The receivers will be fine. Byrd is proven. Jones is proven. Roland played very well down the stretch starting with Mississippi State. Going to need to get something from the slot guy(s) whether its Cooper, Brent, or Samuel but the situation is a lot better than it could be.
The missed opportunities were not all DT's fault and put more pressure on him to perform, if his teammates capitalize early on opportunities set up by DT we blow mizzou out the water with DT as QB. Instead Shaw gave the teammates the spark to get going but DT did not have a bad game against mizzou and just as easily could have led us back as Shaw did with teammates making plays. I think SOS should not have come out gun slinging, Davis was getting 5 and 6 yards a carry but we come out with 3 straight passes and punt...Fry misses a FG...Davis Fumbles....Davis fumbles at the goal line...INT...not being able to get 1yd on back to back plays with Carson and DT why not Davis?...The rest is history!
