That's an interesting question. It almost has the feel of recruits abandoning a school they think is going to get the hammer from the NCAA when they're under investigation but to my knowledge there is no investigation at UGA right now. Puzzling stuff for sure.

Would be nice to put on one hell of a show tonight, it'd make the sale pitch Hilinski will give even more effective.

If I am a recruit watching that game last night I would have been impressed.

We had a good crowd last night. It got loud a few times. And no frigging boos. I hope the recruits had a good impression.

Not saying we flip him, but he did seem to genuinely like us and he enjoyed his visit this past summer. Wouldn't completely rule him out.

There were boos trust me. They were even heard over the radio.

I don't know how anyone can be unimpressed with Williams Brice at night.

Agree with that. It is an impressive place. It is even impressive during the day. We can thank Steve Spurrier for that much.

I think saying "there were boos" doesn't exactly say that they knew who the boos were for......

Does it matter? They were either for our coaches or our qb a few times. Either way the fans were booing their own team.

    Quick question.
With Jesus Gibbs transferring, and Korey Banks also transferred, does that mean this year's class can now take 25 guys?

Great question. I've always wondered how this works too. Is 25 the max we can offer per year, but still only have 85 on scholarship at a time?

25 is the max per year, the transfers just create room within the 85 overall limit (where we also need room).

25 IS the max per year, but while the rules for count backs were tightened, it's still possible to do so under certain limited circumstances. I wouldn't expect these to come into play for 2019 since I believe we used all of our slots for 2018 and, as Ace noted, we're still looking at needing attrition to even get to 25. So, assume we're looking at 25 for 2019, some of which are already used (e.g., Jamel Cook). Others can correct me if I'm forgetting something. Here's one explanation that I found quickly, but there are others out there:

"The limit is on 25 'initial counters,' which you can think of as players in their first year on an athletic scholarship. But a team can bring in more than 25 enrollees in a given year, in a few circumstances. Most commonly, if an athlete graduates high school early and enrolls for the spring semester, and if the school stayed under a cap of 25 in the previous year, it can assign enrollees to the previous class, up to the 25-man total cap.

If a player wants to delay his enrollment until the following spring, he can then be assigned to the following year’s class. But all players must be attributed to either a prior, current, or future class, and no class can exceed 25.

Conferences have their own rules, too. The SEC has a limit of 28 signees between December and May, which limits how many players a team can enroll early to avoid breaching the 25-man cap."

There were several times the boos rung out. The mix up when Bentley missed the handoff, the timeout right after kickoff, the overthrow to ty'son.
