NCAA must actually use a formula that isn't solely based on how many yards you have (or gave up).
No. Total offense and defense are yds / game, not total yards (since different teams have played a different number of games). If you sort the teams by yds / game at the ESPN site, our rankings are:

    Defense: 59; Offense: 72.

No wonder you guys thought our offense was so bad and our defense was so good - we've played fewer games than just about everyone.

You're right. I forgot to click that column.

Does it concern anyone else that Sherrod Green is leading our team in tackles per game, with 5.7 TPG?

Unless I missed someone as I went through the 317 players that have more TPG than anyone on USC.

Gamecocksonline has TJ with more and Sherrod at 2nd (49 vs. 40, with both playing 7 games). Not sure why TJ wasn't listed, but that average would put him tied for 137.

For perspective, our top 3 last year (through 13 games) were: Skai (93), TJ (88), Lammons (79).

Just saw where TBS tweeted an interesting stat. They said we are 17-3 since 2016 when rushing for over 100 yards.

I am willing to bet that when they score more points they tend to win as well.

Yeah, I heard Dowdle say that last night in the post game press conference. I was shocked.

    Oh, good Lord.

Ask the Miami fan base what they think about Richt now. They’re wanting to fire him, but can’t because they extended his contract to 2023. They’re pissed...they hoped they had the link back to their glory days, instead they got an extension of Al Golden.

True, but are you saying he wouldn’t be better for recruiting in both SC and Georgia and getting to the dance or a SEC championship game at least...

Richt was 9-4 and 10-3 first 2 years (2016/2017) headed to a similar record this year.
Carolina would not fire him. Why would Miami??

Imagine that, Ironfan posts something with no logic and that's completely false then he won't even come in here and defend his stance lol

TAMU was ranked #16 in week number 9 and ranked from 17, 22, 22 an 25 in other weeks. So IronFan was not far off.

Yardage per game is too generic a statistic.

And per usual you're FOC. SC is 73 in total offense, not 114.

Sorry but at the time of my post those stats were pulled straight from ESPNs numbers

I dont need to defend the numbers. Numbers don't lie. At the time of the post I coppied them straight from ESPN's website. Sorry you don't like the numbers, but they are what they are.

If we could convince the team at the start it's already halftime?

Guess, what. It's not ESPN football, it's NCAA football.

    http://stats.ncaa.org/rankings/change_sport_year_div

    According to the NCAA,

    Ole miss
    Total offense 5
    Scoring offense 21

    Total Defense 123
    Scoring defense 107

    SC
    Total offense 71
    Scoring offense 70

    Total Defense 55
    Scoring defense 61
