Default Bruce Ellington cut from Texans

The Texans took Ellington off the IR list and released him today. Apparently He's OK to play again, but they just traded for another WR. Hope he gets picked up right away. He played well for the Texans at WR and on returns until the injury.

IR is a funny thing....he can't play for Houston this season, but he can now get picked up elsewhere.

I guess he can go back to teaching the taters draft picks to run routes.

GB is fine at WR. What we need is some D.

ps - so glad they got rid of Montgomery. If they hadn't, I'd start a riot

I can't really think of any contenders that could use him at the moment. Maybe Jacksonville but that's more a QB issue and they've got Westbrook in the slot already. Teams like the 49ers and Bills could probably use some serious help.

Was hoping for the Patriots. Not that they need him but his game looks ideal for their offense.

Was thinking the same thing. He is a great fit for what they do.

Absolutely, thatís why it doesnít work out but if they needed him I think Bruce could excel in that offense.

No, like JD said, we got rid of Ty Montgomery who had been floating between WR and RB for the last couple of years and was a man without a position. Adams and Cobb are still there, Geronimo Allison will be good but is now likely out for the year with an injury, and the rookies look great (Valdes-Scantling) and promising (St. Brown). Factor in more 2 TE sets with mixes of Jimmy Graham, Lance Kendricks and Mercedes Lewis and we're fine.

Anyway, congrats to Bruce for latching on with the Lions.
