If we played better teams and lost, would you complain that our schedule is too hard and we should have a "cupcake" game?

Almost every P5 team plays 3 cupcakes, we already have a tough SEC schedule and what appears to be a perennial top 5 OCC rival, why would we play a tougher team?

No, you only get better by playing the best. We need a Bama a$$ whipping to put things into perspective. Taters will give us some perspective in a few weeks.

No you need more talented players to get better. Alabama's full OOC schedule is Louisville, Ark St, LaLa, and The Citadel. We play a tougher OOC schedule than they do. We play in the SEC and play Clemson yearly, outside of those games we should be scheduling 3 cupcakes yearly. We don't need any tougher opponents to be capable of qualifying for the CFP if we have a talented enough team and take care of business on the field. We currently don't have a talented enough team.

Who cares who they play, we are no better than the Citadel, did you see that game? We need some Bama discipline.

Of course are better than The Citadel, you just want more entertaining big name games. And you don't get discipline through big name OOC opponents, you get that through practice, off-season training, program culture, etc. The reality is you just want more big name opponents in the OOC schedule because you want to see it, not because it is better for the program. Bama has the formula as far as OOC scheduling 1 Power 5 team and then 3 cupcakes, it gets them in the CFP and that's the goal. We're locked into that each year by playing Clemson, we don't need any other teams. Just stop lying by saying you want it because it'll make the program better, you want it because they're games you'd prefer to watch.

To add one more thing, scheduling cupcakes makes even more sense now after the 4 game redshirt rule was put into play. Getting to face cupcakes means that some freshmen get more reps and get the RS, helping their development along while not costing them eligibility.

Kind of weird it's a night game, in my opinion.

Also, how do we always end up with one game on the alternate network? It seems like we're one of only a couple SEC teams to have that happen.
Almost every SEC team has or will play a game on the SEC Alternate channel this season.

Because the nation wants to watch Bama

If we beat Florida this year is essentially the exact same as last year heading into Clemson (minus one less win for us due to the hurricane), we'll be just inside the top 25 if not 25 to give that game some hype and give Clemson more credibility in their SOS. It should be a night game in (the fake) death valley, no earlier than 330 kick, definitely wont be noon

That is true. Will be able to tailgate and enjoy the experience. The downside is that I fly out at 6 am the next day

This should be a game that a family gets to enjoy with a smaller crowd, lower ticket price and all the other things that go with. Here's a 730pm kickoff. Enjoy getting home after midnight if you traveled any distance.

We ought to make it Joe Morrison Night, for this game. It will feature two of the three CFB teams he coached....
