My main concern - like a lot of fans right now - is that our incredible lack of depth will come back to bite us. If we were at full strength, I would feel much better. I still think we can win, but it will be a lot tougher now.

The offense will need to score 38+ for us to win

    And they're more than capable

I actually think 28 will do the trick this week. Florida really isn't as good as people think, especially on offense.

We MUST stop the run or we will lose. Make whoever the QB is beat us with the pass. If Franks was the best starter they have, they are in bad shape at QB. Florida's OL is not very good but they are pretty good run blockers. We need to get a lead and force them to throw, just like MISOU did.

Their defensive line is very good but their secondary is average. I am not sure we can run on them but if we spread them out and screen them and/or crossing routs, we have the advantage.

We beat Ta'amu on the road.. we can beat Franks on the road. But Florida has a better D than Ole Miss I imagine. So it could also get ugly.

I'd say Florida's D is much better than Ole Miss. Of course their offense is much worse.

With all of our injuries, this will be a tough game.

Just like last week we need to come out clicking on offense. If we can get ahead and put pressure on Florida then we will win. Florida doesn't have the offensive power that ole miss has.

If we can score in the 28-31 range I think we should win, Florida's offense gets in their own way sometimes and struggled scoring big points against a bad Mizzou D. While our offense probably isn't as good as Mizzou's I think we should be capable of scoring points, their run defense isn't very good either so a nice balanced offense should allow us to score that much. That being said our own offense seems to get in their own way sometimes as well. Good offensive day like last weekend=win for the cocks

Florida's Defense is ranked 35th Nationally giving up 351/game
SC is ranked 75th Nationally giving up 406/ game
Ole Miss is 124th Nationally giving up 499/game

Missou is ranked 24th nationally in rushing defense at 129/game. They gave up 113 vs Florida.
FLA is ranked 70th nationally in rushing defense at 167/game
and 33rd in passing defense at 201/game
SC is ranked 83rd nationally in rushing defense at 186/game
and 51st in passing defense at 223/game

Florida's Offense is ranked 50th in rushing offense at 182/game
SC's Offense is ranked 65th in rushing offense at 163/game

Missouri's rushing defense was the key to beating Florida. We have to stop the run to be effective.

Florida is a good match-up for us. They are not a good passing team, so they cannot exploit our depleted secondary like Ole Miss. On the flip side, we are pretty healthy on the D Line, with Wonnum back and only Sterling out, so we should match up well against the run.

Mullen can coach and he already has them on the upswing. But if Mizzou can beat them in The Swamp, so can we. Two years from now, it will be a tougher W, but I think we get this one.

Win, and we match last year's regular season wins (I am assuming we handle Akron and UTC) with a chance to go one up against Clemson. We will be riding a 4 game win streak, so who knows? Maybe Bentley makes up for his 1 1/2 miserable games against Clemson with one good one.....

Its at The Swamp and we have a ton of injuries. I just dont think we win it. If it was at home or we were healthier maybe.

I think 2018 is pretty much set now at 7-5 with a bowl. Win that bowl....an 8 win season aint bad at all. Disappointing yes but not bad.

The key to this game is to not let Florida blow the doors off us early in the game. They are coming off back to back losses including a beat down at home. Mullen is going to have those guys absolutely fired up and ready to go Saturday. We have got to match their intensity right from the opening kick. If we can weather the storm and get the game into the 2nd half with a lead or stay within striking distance, I think we can get out of there with a win.

Our offense needs to stay redhot. Florida should be a good matchup for us. They struggle at stopping the run and their secondary, while their pass defense numbers have been good, is kind of a wreck right now. They are playing a lot of guys out of position due to various reasons. Our receivers should be able to make plays down the field against them as long as we can keep their pass rush off of Jake.

As for USC defensively, Florida is going to try and establish Perine and Scarlett right off the bat and take some shots down the field after they soften us up some. We need to play good assignment football and get them into 3rd & medium/long. If we do that I feel good about our chances.

Keep the offense humming, hang in there on defense. Survive the emotional onslaught that is unavoidably coming in the 1st quarter. We should be fine.

I think we are a worse matchup for them than they are for us given the way our offense is playing. Just don't let them get too far ahead early.

How can you say that when Mizzou went in last week and near curbed stomped them? This game is by far winnable, I won't be surprised at a loss but it's not a chalked up L at this point. It's at noon in the swamp and their fanbase is pissed it will be half empty so no big home field advantage there. I'd also rather be thin on defense against a bad offense vs. the other way around. Jump on them early and run up points like last week, doesn't have to be nearly as high mind you, and they won't be able to keep up.

We could win this if our offense continues to play well. Should be another close game.

If I'm Florida, I'm really concerned with the way USC's offense has been playing. They probably have to score 30+ to beat us and they have only done that 4 times this year (Charleston Southern, Colorado State, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee).

Well, to be fair, our offense has only scored 30+ four times this year, too, but we were only able to do it against the weaker defenses we've faced. That's not saying we're incapable, but their defense will be one of the tougher ones instead of one of the easier ones.

I believe Trask was carted off the field today. Not sure if he was supposed to start or not but that seems like a significant loss for UF.

Stop the run. Stop the run. Stop the run.

Score early and make them play catch up.

Score early and it will likely take home crowd out of it. Back to back loses and home crowd is going to pack up to car and tailgate if Florida falls behind early.
