Worst case, we need this game to be tied or need to be within 10 points going into the 2nd half.

I think its HUGE for USC that Daley and Young are going to play this weekend. We need our offensive line at full strength to handle CeCe Jefferson and crew. If they can give Jake time, we should have a lot of success against their secondary. I'm not sure if we are going to get much out of the running game this weekend given our injuries to Dowdle and Williams but we need just enough from those guys so that play action is effective.

For whatever reason, I have more confidence in this game than I have had the past month or so. I think if our offense continues to play at a high level it'll be good result for USC because I don't think Florida has the firepower to keep up with us.
I get that it's not a situation that SC wants to be in and I think it is important to get ahead early. However, SC has been down by two scores in each of the last four games. All four of them we came back to tie and we won three of them. Again, obviously you don't want to be in that situation, but I wouldn't say it's "game over".

Yes, Florida still has some definite defensive problems, but at the same time do we really expect our offense to score into the 30's like UGA and Mizzou did? They're two of the best offenses in the country. So probably not, unless Jake is on his A game like last week and our RB's are finding big success. But that hardly ever happens in tandem.

My prediction is both teams score into the 20's. Both defenses are banged up, but still good enough to consistently stop two average offenses. Whoever has better QB play wins the game.

Beatable but we can’t screw around for 2 quarters.

Game could end up pretty even. Probably something like 24-21. Hope we're the team with the 24.

Worst run defense in college football. Embarrassing.

If you can't win at Florida, you can't win here and I've said it before he was hired. Please let's move on.

I didn't get to watch the game but it sounds like we had a strong lead and then lost it later. Makes you wonder what could have been had we not lost so many guys to injury last week.

Florida stuck to their game plan and made great second half adjustments. We got complacent.

To be quite honest I donít think it really matters because there really isnít a significant difference between us having our ďstartersĒ versus some of these newcomers who have been thrust into action. Which is sad but is the reality of where weíre at I guess.

What is shocking to me is that we are seemingly incapable of playing a complete game on both sides of the ball for a single game. Well..not that shocking but more frustrating at this point

I have been an avid supporter of this staff, especially after the first season. Even though we were blown out by Clemson, I really felt that the guys were playing with an edge they didn't have in 2015. Even though we somehow won nine games last year, I was disappointed because we were not winning any big games, and you need that to really build your program. I don't expect this team to beat Clemson yet, or UGA, but I do expect them to compete with teams like UF, who are clearly struggling.

Regardless of where UF was going into this game, a win against a top 15 team would have been huge for this staff. I finally thought they were going to make it over the hump, as they haven't beaten a ranked team since UT in 2016 (someone correct me if I am wrong here). This loss is almost unbelievable. Yes, our defense has regressed, but when you are up on the road, by 17 points, with all of the momentum on your side, you have to pull the W out. Most likely we would have been ranked in the top 25, and with a win next week, would saved a little face before playing Clemson.

To me this loss is wholly on the coaching staff. Jake, and our WR core, was dominating UF, and the staff took the ball away from them. I understand playing conservative if there is eight minutes left to go, and you are up by 17. This strategy makes zero sense late in the third quarter/ early fourth quarter. This is especially the case when your RBs prove to not be effective on the first drive.

I think what makes this even worse is that after the game Will went up to the podium, and claimed that they didn't take a different strategy in the second half. That just isn't true, and at-least to me, that is how you lose a fan base.

I hate to say it, but I almost expect to lose every time we play a ranked team. In year three, we should at the very least expect a fight. The team fought for three and a half quarters, but then was hamstrung by poor decisions.

I just can't believe this was B-Mac's doing. I hope Champ proves me wrong, but I just feel like all of the momentum his tenure has had, is just quickly evaporating.

Go back in history and see how long we keep football coaches when the fans know that they should be gone.

But we need a coach and who really wants to coach here? Holtz, old and past his prime, but we were 0-21 and nobody wanted it. SOS, old with a few years of fight left in him. How long did we hold on to Phat Brad? Morrison was the only good coach that we ever attracted here who was in his prime and had success, then he died.

Our defenders are small and slow. How has our defensive recruiting been so mediocre across all positions? Kinlaw, Horn, and Brunson are the only ones who look capable of playing their position in the SEC.
