Default Five Best Wins So Far

What are the best teams South Carolina has beaten during the Muschamp era?

    2016 Tennessee
    2017 NCSU
    2017 Michigan
    2017 Missouri

Couldn't decide on a bunch of meh wins for #5.

Interesting thread, this is sort of a glaring look at how we haven't really beaten anyone of great relevance yet, you could argue Michigan in the bowl game was beating a team of relevance since they are doing so well this year, but we weren't aware at the time of the bowl game how good they were/would be. In no particular order, I think these are too hard to rank:

Michigan (Outback Bowl), '17 Florida, '17 NC State, '16 Tennessee (was a dumpster fire program, but that team had some talent), & either this or last year's Mizzou team, I can't differentiate as to which one is better, both teams would be best teams #5 & #6 on the list.

We are a long ways away from champ getting that signature win..next year's schedule is beyond brutal..an 8 win regular season next year would be a stellar year..

He wont get his signature win til possibly 2020..that willl be his 5th season..

I don't consider any of muschamps wins very good...I would say Michigan but their Qb was beyond terrible..that team was a shell of itself. Sc played horrible for over 3 quarters and needed every miscue thrown their way..

I think you could throw 2018 Mizzou in there as well and you'd have my 5. It's very conceivable they run the table the rest of the year with Vandy, Tenn, and Ark left on their schedule. If they do that they'll finish 8-4. If the offense keeps clicking the rest of the season I think you could potentially point to the Ole Miss game because of it being a bit of a turning point.

The negative about a brutal schedule is plenty of opportunities to lose, the upside is plenty of opportunities to find a way to get that signature win. I do agree an 8 win regular season next year would be absolutely phenomenal, but at least he'll get his chance to land some signature wins. Even with all their issues UF on the road this Saturday would be one hell of a win considering they're currently ranked and The Swamp is incredibly hard to play in.

Would probably be his biggest win if we pull this one off in Gainesville.

    2016 Tennessee
    2017 Michigan
    2017 NC State
    2017 Florida
    2016 Vandy

This list looks right to me. Though that 2016 Vandy win might be #2. With 2016 UT #1.

I think the gamecocks have two chances left this season (outside of a bowl game) to add wins that would be number two and number one on the lists that have been provided in this thread so far.

I really hope they beat Florida.

Beating a top 15 Florida on the road is a no doubt best win so far. Hope we can get it

    Tennessee 2016

None of the others are really that impressive to me, all games that we should have won. If we win Saturday I would add it to the list.
