    Default Fried Catfish

I did some "fried catfish in my deep fryer tonight" and they were delicious. Had some coleslaw and new potatoes to go with it. Excellent meal and the catfish would make you "slap your grand-pappy"!!!

Is anybody out there cooking anymore???

Um yeah! Catfish all the time, if I catch them.

Did a catfish stew earlier this week. It was my first one and i don’t quite have the texture I want but the flavor was on point. Looking forward to the next time.

I cooked some zing wings yesterday. Not as hot as I usually make them but were still good. Celery and blue cheese on the side. I will make some pimento cheese for the first time this week. Going to make fried chicken(in honor of our loss yesterday) boiled cabbage and mash taters(because I hate clemsux). So yeah I cook but my wife makes it so difficult she hogs the kitchen.

Grilled some ribeyes tonight. They were pretty good. Did not get them from my usual place and bought these at the local grocery store. Supreme cooking skill made them taste good, but would have been much better if I had bought them from my local butcher as his meat is just so much better than grocery store meat.

I don't cook any fried catfish, but I do like it. Now if Little Man were to catch us one, Mama is on her way to get an air fryer.

I will say that Hudson's Fried Catfish is off the charts! Breaded and seasoned just enough.

I don't know what it is but I just can't eat fish stews. There is something about them that is unappealing to me.

I love small fresh catfish. Fried is the only way I eat them.

I like fried catfish but I LOVE fried Crappie. My father in law breads and fries them whole. They are pretty amazing.

I have not made one of these in a long time, but my older brother makes them and his are pretty good except that he always makes it a tad bit too hot. I would not make the stew that hot as I think people can add the heat after they get a bowl. Hard to get it out after it is made and everyone does not like eating food that is "red hot'.

    Hey G-House,

Try to get one to invite you over for "Red Snapper", as that might be a lot more entertaining???
