    Our traditional meal will be

    roasted turkey
    honey-baked ham
    southern style dressing
giblet gravy (plus a small pot of giblet-less gravy - I don't like liver)
    rice
    butter beans
    green bean casserole
    collards
    biscuits
    cranberry sauce

    Iced sweet tea

    homemade pecan pie
    homemade pumpkin pie
    Giblet Gravy mmm

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Banana Pudding with Vanilla Wafers. That's a necessity for every Thanksgiving in my house. Not having that is like not having a Turkey or watching the Parade or football on TV.

you are darn right. That's how we Sicilian-Americans roll. Some even skip the turkey so they can get more lasagna but personally, I like the turkey cause it makes me sleepy and napping while the football game is on is my favorite thanksgiving tradition

It is so good and nice change from Turkey...I will make the sauce Thursday morning and let it stew all day then when it is show time, divide in sauce pans and steam with the mussels...it is unbelievably good and I am a terrible cook! My table is always open to any and everyone...seriously
