This year, how would you have kept two loss UGA out, when they beat the team that beat Clemson (us), plus had to play Alabama, Auburn, UK and Florida? Clemson did not play anyone this year outside of TAMU and MAYBE Syracuse, both of whom took them to the wire. Remember that the ACC title game had 7-6 Pitt on the other side, with a 1-4 OOC record (win over Albany).

ND, Okie, Bama and UGA would be the line-up this year if we had a W over Clemson.

But let's settle the argument in 2019 with an actual case study.

    Sounds like a PLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wong, PFW79 is so fast and loose with his facts that is known simply as WRONG on the Smack board. On the other hand, he deserves props for remarkably consistent, LOL.

He is hanging a lot on a game that is clearly an outlier, even though he quickly dismisses single game results that go against his arguments. We had so many players out for UVA, especially on D, that it is hard to draw any conclusions.

OTOH, he ignores that the UVA game broke a five game South Carolina win streak against non-Clemson ACC opponents - each of which would be more relevant since both teams were somewhat healthy. And he slinks away when you offer to bet on the UNC game that opens 2019 - he says one thing, but believes something entirely different.

Boom actually did inherit a mess at UF, more due to transfers, discipline, and off the field issues than talent. But he recruited really well and gave his successor a loaded roster. McIlwain was not a great recruiter but his two full recruiting classes (not shared with Boom or Mullen) were both rated #11. Of the three, Boom had the toughest rebuild.

Same with Herman at Texas. Strong's last two classes were #10 and #7, so not exactly a rebuild/start from scratch for Herman. But as always, I am sure that WRONG will not let the facts get in the way of his spin, LOL.

Gonna be honest: it’s funny reading that first paragraph, then seeing your signature.

What do they say about a blind hog? That stems from the National Championship game results, which might be the first time that you have ever been right.

And this is coming from a guy that just recently was able to stop using a "SheckWes was right" sig after being WRONG on the South Carolina Clemson point spread.

yep, in fact he was almost given the complete opposite. His in state rival stopped recruiting, UGA was down, and he could waltz into florida and grab recruits with Florida and Miami down. FSU was on their way and that was the one team standing in their way of the ACC.
