Default The SEC Grapples With Officiating in the Age of Outrage

Good read. Looks like they are listening to the fans, coaches and media.

I'm not convinced this is anything more than lip service.

thats all it is. its just a guy in the booth interpreting the call. i would venture to guess that UNLIKE the nfl they will rarely disagree with the call. That only makes sense since the replay guys blow it all the time in order to stay with the call on the field.

The likelyhood of an an nfl call getting overturned is dramatically higher since the nfl actually want to get the call right. They dont care what the official call is. In college ive seen obvious plays not overturned because they are told to stick with the call on the field. i expect no different with the tv on air official.

Yes, this is all a bunch of crap!!! They automatically assume that the fans are completely ignorant of the rules, when considering the coverage of today's College Football, the fans are much more educated to the rules than they are giving them credit for. This shows their lack of care, and confirms the lip service comment. Fans can go back and watch games and count how many missed holding calls there are on any given play, and how the refs miraculously don't miss it when your team gets a big chunk yardage play!!! There is HUGE bias in the refereeing, and we all see it weekly. Our team, and several other SEC teams who are NOT named Bama, LSU, UF or UGA, are called for so many penalties that those teams are rarely called for. And it's not just the bad call, it's when that bad call happens. Ref's can easily balance out the calls when nothing his happening, but a bad call in a crucial situation can change the outcome of a game, easily. I think these guys stink of bias. And we can all see the same few teams get away with what others don't every season to prove the point. And those teams always seem to be the ones the most money is on the line for. Wow! What a coincidence...

Tact is for those who are not witty enough for Sarcasm...
