    Default Chernobyl - HBO

Quite possibly the best Mini-Series I have ever seen.

Outstanding series. If you have HBO watch it. It's ended but you can binge watch ON DEMAND. Will take you about 5.5-6 hours.

I really enjoyed it and think HBO nailed it(unlike that last GOT season). Best thing they have made since Westworld or True detective S1.

It actually starts with the explosion and then goes through the aftermath of it. Really well done.

NPR has a podcast with the writer and they go over all five episodes. It was mentioned that that part was true, and, unfortunately, the stories get worse but they decided it best to leave a lot of it out.

I had read stories about how they had to exterminate the animals left in the area, not just the dogs/cats, but livestock and such as well due to exposure. So I knew it would happen. But when you actually watch the scenes being acted out, it just hits you in the gut. As did the scene of the widow sitting on the hospital bed with the empty crib next to the bed.
