Find a LF, let chipper stay, and Prado to super utility. Chipper played well when healthy, so make sure Prado is there to spell him.

My offseason thread went well last year. We paid Dan uggla to wrestle with the .200 mark

Uggla was one of the best signing of the offseason regardless. He was terrible early, but really turned it around and was the only one that seemed to care on our team offensively in the 2nd half of the season.

Not to mention 80 RBIs, which led the team as well as leading the teams in runs scored. And that was mostly in half a season. He will be the key to our team next year for sure. Just gotta get some pieces around him in LF and SS.

Derek Lowe, Jair Jurrjens, Tommy Hanson, Brandon Beachy, Mike Minor, Julio Teheran, Randall Delgado, Arodys Vizcaino.

That's 8 deadly pitchers. 3 have to go. Guessing Vizcaino moves to the 'pen as the long reliever/spot starter. Who are the other two to go and how do they go? Possibly make a big trade to get a SS?

If there was ANY way to get Lowe off the books, we have to do that. I assume we trade Hanson because he brings back more value than Jair with 2 more years of arbitration.

Hmmm...for some reason I was thinking Hudson was done. Guess not. But that leaves 9, 8 if Viz moves to the 'pen. What do we do with the other 3?

Trade Hanson, let some of the guys sit in AAA for a bit longer. Put Vizcaino in the Venters role. Trade Venters (as a closer).

I don't think so. He's a Scott Boras client and won't be here very long. Plus, I'm tired of watching him hit everybody and letting every baserunner steal on him.

I agree. He has been hurt the last 2 years as well. He looks great some times with the 14 K games but he really hasn't been the stud we thought he would. And his arm has died. He was 89-91 on his fastball this year. Last year it was 92-95.
