I'm intrigued.
Here's a list of teams that participate in the sport. Most of them make sense (California/Atlantic coast types) but some are so random (Nebraska, Louisiana-Monroe). http://www.beachdig.com/collegesandvolleyballprograms |

Actually there are more schools that participate in Beach "sand" Volleyball.Most volleyball teams in the Socon have beach volleyball teams and the league championship was held on Mt Pleasant recently.
