This is a good one:
Which is a better guitar solo???.... the guitar solo by Roger Fisher in "Magic Man" by Heart (starts around 2:30).... VS Scott Gorham in Thin Lizzy, "Cowboy Song" (starts around 4:07) Personnel:

IT'S MY GAMEFACE !!

The Guitar Solo in Magic man was a CLASSIC ! ... Not saying that Roger
Fisher was a better guitarist Gorham, but the solo Fisher belts out for magic man is one of the most recognizable lead solos in rock. Voted for Heart

Thin Lizzy had some awesome hooks and grooves in their music that were complimented superbly by Phil Lynott's voice. Gary Moore went on to be a guitar legend in Europe and his home of Ireland. Really sucked when Phil died... I was 19 and still am bummed by that.
Anyone ever listen to Jeff Wayne's musical version of "War of the Worlds"? Narrated by Richard Burton and Phil Lynott lent his voice as well. Sh!t was good!

I openly admit to being bias here. Thin Lizzy can do no wrong in my book.
Lizzy all the way here. On a side note: Lizzy has had some of rock's best guitarist and ones who could absolutely blow the roof off during their solos. Live is how you must listen to Lizzy. The studio work...although epic...can't compare to what Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham, Gary Moore and the absolutely terrific John Sykes do live. Listen to 'Live and Dangerous' or 'Live Life' and you really get what they were all about.
