Oh, Jesus, seriously? I'm talking about the ideal situation for him to avoid further catastrophic injury and have the sustained, successful football career he deserves.

Get off your high horse. No one is a bigger proponent of kids staying in-state than I am. I know his family. This isn't a question of his "toughness" or "desire" or whatever you're trying to posit I'm saying. If he had only sustained the one injury, (or better yet, neither), he'd be a likely Top 15 pick and would be expected to be what Trent Richardson was for the Browns this year and I would have little doubt he was capable of delivering. I don't have doubt now, but the reality of his injuries (and his current rehab of the most recent one) mean that expecting him to be an every-down back or go to guy in the 2014 season (which St Louis would need, considering their depth chart) could potentially put him in greater jeopardy.

No one believes in him as a person or athlete more than me. This isn't questioning his toughness. I don't want to see him go to a crappy team that expects too much from him early and doesn't surround him w/ players who can directly protect his well-being.

You were selfish as was I when I wanted him to play for the gamecocks when our o line was spotty and our qb play wasn't very good and we were mediocre. So I can be "wishful" he goes to the Rams so get over it.

Because you're implying that I'm somehow calling him out or questioning his toughness when I wasn't doing anything of the sort. I don't "feel special", im saying your flame of my post as some sort of knock on Marcus is way off-base.

Bottom line is that there are much better scenarios than the Rams for him. The reality is he's coming back from a serious injury and the Rams lack several elements that I personally think would be ideal. As I've already stated, I'll be happy wherever he goes, but forgive me for having the opinion that some situations are better than others, and that's not an indictment of Marcus to say so. Maybe I misunderstood you, but it seemed said you were saying I'm impugning his toughness. Which I wasn't. You're a rams fan and want him there. I get that. I have preferences to where id like to see him go. We can agree to disagree on it. But not questioning his toughness.

Falcons released Michael Turner and have a lot of faith in Jaquizz Rodgers.

Lattimore could be a solid pickup for the Falcons (not to mention I'd love to be able to go to a game locally to see him play).

End the end, though, I don't think it's a matter of "who needs a running back"...it's a matter of "who's willing to take the gamble on someone who may or may not be immediately able to play".

Really hoping my prediction of him still going in the first round holds true, though. No matter where he ends up, I'll be one of the first in line to buy an NFL Lattimore jersey.
