September is usually a dicey month. The Dow is up 0.6% right now though and the NASDAQ is up 0.7%. It will be an interesting month.

Scary thing today is the dollar as well as oil. The API report will be interesting on oil. China is buying the new IMF reserves and issuing their own bonds which is a little scary for the dollar. Not enough there to be worried but still enough to notice.

Oil prices are exploding with an almost 5% gain. Stock market is up a little. The dollar is down big but don't write the dollar off yet as demand at the Treasury auction today was strong.

The Dow ends up 55. Oil is up over $3 or 5%. The API report on oil inventory is released in a few and I would imagine that it will show a pretty big decrease, especially in Gasoline. Oil is up while the dollar index is down a percent to 77.23.
An interesting story continues with BofA. Cuomo has told them to back their defense of bonuses paid or face criminal charges. It's kind of amazing that this story continues to develop. http://www.cnbc.com/id/32737263 |
