“We had a little talk with our team that if you have an injury and you can’t perform, you need to tell the coaches. If that was the biggest problem, and we think it was, it was certainly embarrassing for all of us,” Spurrier said. “We don’t like it and I don’t like it. Hopefully, that will not happen again. That’s all I need to say about it. He’s not playing this week. He‘s not going on the trip.”
Spurrier said Culliver’s one-game hiatus involves more than the injury.
“Some other things happened I can’t get into,” Spurrier said. “But he’s out this game and hopefully he’ll come back ready to play next week and we’ll go from there.”
Spurrier said Culliver’s situation is not a university matter.
“It’s part team policy and part injury,” Spurrier said.

Culliver has the most potential of any guy on our team, lb for lb. I hope this motivates him to come back and play the way Chris Culliver plays. Him at cb may be a great move in the future.

Hes out of the game officially for "injury and other issues." yet he is practicing tonight at full speed but still missing the game this weekend...put it together. He is suspended because he is pulling a Captain and E Cook from last year and the coaches arent going to put up with it this year.

I heard he wasnt 100% in the Tennessee game. Heard the slight end of it on 107.5 earlier. It said he kept something from the coaches or something. I dont know all the details. Anyone hear that or have any more info? I would love to know because he played like shit.

I think it's pretty clear that the most likely reason he isn't making the trip to arkansas is that he hid his injury from the coaches. Not saying I know for sure, but that's the simplest explanation, and therefore likely the truth.

Coaches need to know if you are hurt. End of story. You can play through pain, it's part of football, but trainers need to check you out first.

at the bottom of this story they report he's slated to return this week. doesnt mention how likely he is to start and where, but i assume with some precautions that he can go at free safety and thats where i would put him and man up the florida receivers with our safeties playing as aggressively as possible.

Thanks, my hope is that he has gotten his head back on strait and produces big. Him not being in the Arky game hurt us. It didn't cost us the game, but his presence was missed, IMO.
