I would not look too far into this. If you listened to his comments on the radio, he did not know the exact amount we have committed at each position. So maybe he just overestimated

Are we sure Spurrier didn't just have a brain fart here? Also T Williams and Cann play defense. Also, it could be someone else who is the silent commit.

Yea because he said we have 6 or 7 OL commits and 2 or 3 DL commits

well duh, it's pretty easy to guess who it is.

It's like all those guys worrying Lattimore won't be a Gamecock.

In other good recruiting news, the top tailback according to ESPN 150 commited to auburn very recently which means marcus lattimore will most likely not go to auburn. Take it for what its worth, but we are one step closer to locking it up.

This is probably moot since I doubt we'll know either way about Floyd until close to NSD, but how does his recruitment affect Quarles? I would think it would be a huge plus in Quarles' eyes if he got to play next to a DT who would be drawing double teams and freeing Quarles to do what he does best - rush the passer - for the next 3 years. Sort of like a Pat Williams/Kevin Williams (Vikings) situation. To me that'd be a huge chip in our favor trying to keep KQ.

If you've ever watched Spurrier's press conferences, he guestimates most of the time w/stats and such. He probably just threw a number out there so I really don't think we should read much into this.
