Special teams kick coverage is what worries me with Clemson. All Clemson has is Spiller and at times Ford. Take them two out of the game and they are toast. |

What if we win Indecisively? Maybe run a touchdown in instead of throwing for it? But we aren't sure it was the best way to have gotten a touchdown in that situation...
How would everyone feel about our chance after that? I would be torn on what to do, personally.

I think at this point with this team, you can't feel anything more than the
way you feel after the game they play THIS WEEK. Three weeks ago I was thinking with the way our guys were playing, and the way Florida was playing we actually had a very good chance of pulling off a win in Columbia when they came in here. . . . . . After the last three weeks, and especially seeing the way Florida dismantled UGA this past weekend, at this point I'm not expecting us to stay within 3 TDs of Florida. . . . A big win this week MIGHT be the result of the team getting their act together and them deciding they can play with anyone in this conference. . . . OR it could be a game where they just caught Arkansas on a down week, and we got on a roll. Then get their clocks cleaned next weekend against Florida. . . . . . . It's a week to week wait and see thing right now. I hope the first scenario is the right one, and we close out with at least two wins and a good showing against Florida even if we DO lose to them. . . Three straight wins and I'll be the guy standing on the top floor of the Carolina Walk, beating his chest and yelling GO COCKS . . . . while wearing a lampshade and a loincloth. !! At this point, I'm just waiting to see how they play this weekend. . and I'll think about the Florida game next week.

A win this week would be our seventh win and would be huge
regardless of the next two games. I would definitely feel better. |

I don't see how anyone couldn't feel a heck of a lot better if this team gets a good win against Arkansas on Saturday. I'm most looking for them to cut down on the mistakes, turnovers, dropped passes, penalties. If they can do that I will feel a lot better. I can't say that if they win this that I will feel they have a chance against Florida, because like Spurticus said this team is just too inconsistent week to week (I am also at this point skeptical of whether SC can stay within 35 of Florida), but it would definitely help going into the Florida and then Clemson games.

yeah, during this stretch of the season, you really can't feel anything but good about a win. so, a win this weekend would reinvigorate my gamecockiness!!!!
and i agree that a win against arkie and klempscum, and a good showing agaist uf would be an incredibly successful regular season. i'm putting all of my eggs in that basket!

past we were lucky to win 1 out of 5 or 6 and some very consistent poor performances. . . I'll take two or three good performances out of 6 games right now. It would be an improvement over the majority of years since we've been in this conference.

If we beat Arky and Clem loses to FSU then i'd feel a lot better about that game! I'm not sure much would change for me for the UF game but maybe it would be a big confidence builder for us to make the upset happen.

just based on how this season has gone. we more than likeley wont win decisively. dont get me wrong i hope we blow them out but for some reason its never the case. were a little conservative on offense sometimes, hopefully we wont be tomorrow because arkansas can score and score quick. were going to have to be able to keep scoring ourselves. could be a shootout, but it will be close game.

Well it won't hurt. I think it could get the morale back up on the team and maybe light a fire under them for the remaining games. As I've said before, I think this game will be a barometer to how the rest of the season goes. We lay an egg, we're done. We win, blow out or not, we can get back into some sort of a groove morale wise. Garcia and Moe have to be the leaders they say they want to be, vocally and play.

Honestly, no matter the out come tomorrow I think Florida and Clemson are losses. Florida just for the mere fact that they are a far superior team. Clemson because what they do best now is what we struggle to stop. Spiller could potentially have a career day against us.
I will say though I feel good about tomorrow. The way Spurrier has stood behind this team shows he is confident in them. In past years he would come and just say "We aren't that good of a team." This year he said "We had a bad game." That means he still thinks we're a good team we just played a bad game. It happens. We aren't a top team but we are better than we played last Saturday. That said though, Florida and Clemson may be just a few steps ahead of us right now. Only time will tell.

if we beat arkansas i think it will propel us to an almost certian victory over clemson. we have been playing well at home this year and would finally have some momentum going into the game. lose to arky and we lose all three

Arky beat the aggies and auburn, but they are 4-3. Arky played floriduh well, and got blown out by the tide. I think SC State is better than Eastern Michagan. However, Arky showed up. Suffice to say, we have not blown an apponent out for 4 quarters. If we show up, we can win. We have the potential. Suffice to say, internet arguments resemble two bricks going talking to each other. |
