WVU played Auburn. WVU gave away 6 TOs for Auburn to barely beat them at home. BE teams do fine against the SEC. In fact, I believe BE has a winning record against the SEC last few years.

UCONN will do fine against South Carolina. We did not play any SEC teams this year. I know we play Vandy next year and we got a home and home with Tenn set up in the future. That being said, UCONN played a pretty tough schedule this year with 5 losses totaled 15 points.

Every team we played OOC told us we will be blown out LOL. Baylor fans did. UNC fans did. UNC barely won thanks to the ACC refs calling a holding penalty resulting in a safety. UCONN dominated UNC for most of the game until our QB got hurt. Anyway, UCONN is very much underrated. Loss of our best CB Jasper Howard certainly hurt our defense quite a bit. We got 4 FRs playing on D right now. Our offense, however, have improved. We can pass and run now.

Well, that was a good post. With facts. But I just dont see it man. If the real USC comes out to play. It could get bad. But if the sluggish USC comes out, yall have a shot. Im banking on the real USC to come. And i think they will. We will see.

Hmm...just looked up some stuff. I definitely think USC has the advantage and we should dominate in defending against the pass. Their rushing game is formidable but not scary and their defense is average. But, overall they are a stable team. I watched their Notre Dame live. Granted it was Clausen and Tate but they were horrible against the pass...I don't see that changing for our game. Also, I think we are the fastest defense they'll see all season. Overall, I see it staying tied (or close) for two quarters, but we'll pull away after the half.

I agree with everything you said except for their defense. Their defense is not good at all right now. Cincy had 711 yards against them and Syracuse had nearly 500 yards against them. UConn actually had the worst defense in the Big East and gives up over 25 point a game against less than great teams.

What you don't know is UCONN traditionally has a strong defense and a questionable offense. We hired a new OC and he turned around the offense 100%. Our D got hurt big time when Howard died. Carolina's Defensive Ends are pretty damn awesome and so is the rest of the defense. As far as people not scoring in the red zone, somebody was getting in the endzone against UConn for them to give up 25 points a game in the Big East. I know their offense is good, but the defense is not good. Good defenses don't give up 711 yards against anybody and don't give up 31 points against Syracuse.

UCONN is solid, I've watched several of their games, and I think their running game is actually pretty good. However, UCONN fans will be suprised by how good and fast our D is. Our D can keep us in any game. That being said, UCONN's D is pretty soft and we will be able to run on them. In addition, UCONN doesn't have the secondary to match up with our big athletic receivers. I think USC wins 31-17, but USC doesn't pull away until the late in the 3rd.

havent got a chance to watch much film on them but i did watch the USF Uconn game. i'm not sure they'll match up that well with our total team speed on defense. USF has some fast florida players but
our defense has stood the test against bama, florida, clemson, not allowing more than 3 TDS for any of these offenses.
i think our offense is gelling better, as long as we go all out in practice it will translate to the field.

uconn is not a bad team. they are good all around but i think you'll be surprised by our D-Line and our Offense. i can honestly say our D-line is better than Pitts and our offense is better than ND's considering the defenses we go up against.

our d is just relentless, they play their assignments really well for such a young group in the secondary (whitlock, Holloman, Gilmore, Auguste) as long as they are covering well (which they usually do) then our front 4 is going to get to the QB or atleast supply some pressure. our Linebackers are going to be sending different looks all game, and im not sure uconn has faced a defense this year that can confuse a QB as well as ours has. it started with Snead, then mcelroy, then tebow.

were the #3 total defense in the SEC behind only Alabama and Florida. i just dont see uconn's qb getting into much of a rhythm. we held spiller to 18 yds. and proved we can stop the run as well. as long as ingram isnt on that field come january 2nd then we should be ok as far as stopping the run. the real problem against ingram was just poor tackling, we couldnt wrap the big guy up.
