#1 South Carolina vs #8 Alabama
#4 Mississippi vs #5 LSU

Bracket 2:
#2 Arkansas vs #7 Vanderbilt
#3 Florida vs #6 Auburn

The SEC is top heavy. I dont think any bracket will be easy but at this point I think they all are Winnable.

With Alabama's remaining schedule (@SC, Florida, Ole Miss, @ Tenn) I wouldn't be surprised to see Kentucky(or Tennesse) sneak into the #8 seed.

IDK guys.... Looking at the opponents..

Alabama: Face it, a road game.. I know we have more talent and better pitching, but still... there will be 10,000 people there, and about 9200 of them rooting for Bama..

LSU: Defending national champions, and you know they will travel very well..

Ole Miss: Oxford is only about 2-2:30 from Hoover.. so they will travel well... Also, they have 2 very good starting pitchers...

Anyway... If we keep rolling... the SEC tournament may mean absolutely nothing anyway... We currently have the ability to lock up a national seed before we get to Hoover, if we continue to play well.

And I agree with another poster... the SEC is top-heavy this year... IMO... after the top 5 (Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, LSU)... there is a significant drop-off to the rest of the conference...

The thing I like about this years play is that we are not living and dying by the HR. Hoover has a very deep outfield which is a killer for a team living by the HR. We have proved that we can win with our pitching and small ball play. That is not to say that we don't have some HR hitting ability, but we can win without it. As far as tough schedule.....it doesn't matter. We gotta play the best to be the best.

I just hope we aren't thinking too far ahead to the NCAA playoffs.

If we were to break it down...

Alabama: We are better than them.. and series is in Columbia... At least 2 out of 3

@Kentucky: Kinda like Bama.. but not as good pitching.... We have shown we can play on the road... Ill say 2 out of 3...

@Arkansas: Well, history shows we flat stink out there.. and Arkansas is a pretty solid baseball team... Ill say we win 1 out of 3..

Florida: Similar in talent to Ole Miss... We take care of business at home... 2 out of 3..

So... I think we go 7-5, if not 8-4 down the stretch in the SEC... which would put us at 21-8/22-9.. IMHO: That gets us the SEC East, SEC overall first place, and a national seed.

Hope so, though I think he'll have to win at least 1 or 2 games in the SEC tourny to get a national seed. (If we finish w/ a 22-9ish record) At this point its a 3-horse race for the SEC crown between us, Arky, and UF.. we get our chance to earn that #1 spot thats for damn sure.

I'm still just excited our team has recovered so well from that 6-4 start and is a top the SEC as expected of them.
