In a post-practice interview last night , Lattimore said that Carson looked good. I believe the phrase "natural running back" is how he put it.

i hope JC keeps the pressure on the o-line in practice.only good things can come from that for the o-line.when you play or practice against the best it makes you better.what about the 1st team o-line how are they looking?i think thats what will make or break the season for us imo.

Distance and Accuracy there. S/H was good until he got to about the

Scruggs is fading (like Barnes & Nick Jones). They've caught a couple of
passes the past two days, but just not getting open, or making the plays
that Byrd and Sanders are right now. Not saying they won't play this season
and that they won't step up within the next couple of weeks, but right
now they are not getting the attention from the QBs during game situations
that A Jeff, Ace, Demiere, DL are getting. After those it drops off
considerably with the guys like Ellington, Jones, Scruggs, Barnes, and
so on.

I don't think Lazy will happen. Maybe tired. The practice last night was
still good, just not as sharp over all as Wednesday's practice was. Could
be the guys were just so "UP" for the first one that there was an
emotional let down because of the first night in front of a large crowd of
people. Last night's crowd was less than half of what were there Wed.

Maybe just a little tired or emotionally drained. Still not a bad practice though.

Carson's strength right now is catching the ball out of the backfield.
Can't really tell right now what any of the backs look like until pads are
on and they get tackled. Lattimore would know more than me though,
about how a RB should look. Right now they all look good running the
ball without being tackled. . . . Be able to tell more about how Carson
and Wilds looks starting early next week.

yeah...a week or two into practice they are going to get tired of hitting their own team players...they'll be ready to hit someone else

Good point about the blocked punts. . .forgot to go into detail with the
S/Teams last night, but he got two of em. . . . . Maybe this will be where
a lot of players who are losing ground to the faster / more talented
younger guys will end up helping the team. I know they have a "COACH"
now that takes S/Teams play as seriously as Steve Spurrier does the
Offense.

Josh Hinch is a guy that has an aura (to me anyway) of Bryce Sherman.
The dude is quick and makes some really REALLY nice moves after he
catches the ball. Right now he is being used mainly as a check down and
Screen pass receiver, but the kid has some hop after he catches the
ball. I can see why Spurrier would be impressed with him. He's going to
be in a HUGE Talent pool (Latti, Miles, Baker, Carson, Wilds .....) going
to be tough to work your way to meaningful PT through that as a
Walk On player, but maybe we can get him in some games in special
situations and see what the guy can do.

The thing about Clowney that stands out to me is that doesn't seem to
be a "Mean" player. Doesn't have to be with that kind of speed. LT was
a very "Schooled" type player with a hell of a mean streak when he put
on the pads. Clowney (IMO) is just the opposite. Not really "Schooled"
or Aggressive, but just Speedy and athletic. Hell, if Clowney did develop
a mean streak we'd get busted for breeding Fighting Animals and
for inhumane torture of our opponents. . . . That would be the ultimate
Defensive MACHINE !!

He is a nonfactor. Just like Nick Jones. Just like I keep telling people who think these 2 guys are going to break out this year... we got too much talent on this team.
