We have more power than we had last year... Pitching is ridiculous.... as long as we can avoid the injury bug (Knock on wood)... we should be a national seed (IMO)

I am not sure how we can be better than the best in the Nation two years in a row while setting the all-time winning streak record in Omaha. I'll take it if it can be done though...lol

I think we may be more productive with the numbers some of our new players put up when compared to the numbers of those who played their positions last year. Don't forget that JBJ was not playing that well...by his standards...even before he was injured.

Having said that, I worry about the intangibles from those who left. Those are very often not appreciated as much as they need be. Think back to the stud players we've had on the same team before (Smoak, Havens, or Landon and Drew). Those teams had awesome numbers and tons of talent yet not really anyone to offer the intangibles that are needed in a championship team.

An example of that was stated by Roth. He stated he already misses hearing
Morales heckle him yelling 'throw a strike you bum' during a game. We all know Roth will provide some of what is needed...I just hope some of our new infield will be able to offer some as well!!!

Great point ! Let's hope Mr. Roth shows them the way. Intangibles and chemistry, lets hope we can hang loose and let it come to us. If they follow Roth's lead, we may just find some. At any rate, I like what I see !

I would agree if it weren't for Mr. Greiner. The man can play some baseball. I think these two are the studs of the freshmen...but you know English made a great throw and Beal pitched pretty good. If we get second base down i think we could be nasty
