I'm more worried about getting timely hits and no one pitch outs than who our starting pitcher is tonight. Granted we only needed 6 runs to win two elimination games yesterday, but if it weren't for two of the best performances in a two game stance by our pitchers, the situation could be a lot different.

Holmes is gonna be on tonight. The good part about tonight is Arky is already down on themselves offensively. A couple scoreless innings, and they'll be mentally our of it. Holmes was fine last game, he just got beat on a couple bad pitches. Everything was zoned up though.

He's got the feeling of the mound, he's been in this situation before, and he's a gamer. He knows all he has to do is go out and throw a couple good innings because of the rested pen. Once he shuts arky down and they realize Monday night was fluke, he'll be good to go.

They just made a good point about last night. It was the first time someone took an early lead on them. And when it happened, they looked like they had been eliminated. USC has the mental edge right now. If we come out and smash their starter early, this game will be over.

I am very nervous about Holmes, he was not at all ready for Arkansas the last time. And yes you say they scored on some bad pitches, the thing is we need to put someone in that won't throw bad pitches that they can capitalize on like what happened in game one. I hope he does do well and keep that ball down, but almost every pitched he threw sailed high. Just hopin we show them boys Omaha is our town! Go cocks!!

Dude, every starting pitcher in the history of baseball has thrown atleast 1 bad pitch a game. The difference between a good bad pitch and a bad bad pitch is whether the batter can capitalize on it.

we cant give them a run or two just the "see" and then make changes... having other pitches means nothing if they score, we change pitchers, and we cant hit. doesnt matter who pitches for us if we cant score
